I am trying to make a window schedule where Revit automatically puts the count on the different types of windows I have in the building.  I have the schedule set to mark type and then count and it gives me a count of 1 for all windows, even the ones that are exactly the same.  I have tried to copy and paste a window to see if the count would go up, however the schedule just adds another mark type and a count of one.  Any suggestions???

go to the sorting/grouping tab.

For your Mark (or whatever field you want to count by) add a footer, then choose total and counts.

Ok thanks that works...I have another question then, what is the point of the "Count" option on the schedule and also what does the "Mark" mean in the WINDOW SCHEDULE?  Because the windows are sorted by Type Marks correct?

Read your HELP on schedules.

You can sort by any field ... even hidden ones
