Hi

Could anyone help with advising how to create a monolithic stair that has exactly a 160 mm riser height?                    I am doing a fire escape and need my stair to be 160 mm x 300mm at all times. However i cannot fix the riser height.                                                                                                                                                                              I I have found a silly workaround by manually typing in the distance so the stair goes under the slab with a few more mm than the level and then Revit makes a 160mm x 300mm. I have around 150 of these stairs and would like to use the stair family more efficiently. So setting the a fixed riser height would be optimal.

thanks

The riser height is calculated by taking the total height, divided by the max riser height given, returning an integer value and dividing the stair height by the integer to give the riser height.  If the total height is a multiple of 160mm then riser heights will be 160mm.  Otherwise they won't.

Thanks Tim123

Would have been nice if i could lock the riser height and the stair offset from the level moved slightly by it self and not the other way around.

You mean you don't want your stairs to be from level to level?

Or do you want stairs with all risers the same height except one? - that's bad.  If that's what you want - then you calculate the offset and enter that from the same level instead of telling revit to goto the next level - which it can't do with the rules you have.
