RAC 2010

 

notice the first image where i'm ready to click finish

on the building pad.. you see the property lines-

you see the topo lines- you see the pad..

 

now look at the second image of what happens

when i click finish the pad.. it pulls the

topo lines over to the pad.. why can't

it believe i want those topo lines to stay where

i put them? how do i make the topo lines stay

where i put them? why is it doing that?

Just add in some points at the top level where you want the contour to be and the rest will adjust.

thanks tim- what was i thinking- of course there

has to be points at the same level as the pad

or else whatever points there are would have

to slope up to the pad..

If there were more points along the contour line then that wouldn't have happened.  Because there was only one point at each end of the line, and in-between levels were added with the pad defining the levels, Revit redefined the contours.  Adding more points solve this problem.
