Currently working with Revit 2009

I'm trying to create a ledgend key for my floor finish plans.  When I go to the Legend componet it's not allowing me to view my floors in plan which is were the hatch pattern is.  I doesn't work to do it in section for my floors are a 1/16" thick for they are an add to the floor structure.  Is there a way to be able to view the floors in plan from the Legend componet?

I have 39 different floor types and need a good solution to do the floor finish key.

You could use a color scheme and legend where you have the option of using fill patterns rather than solid colours.

The color scheme legend works directly in a floor plan.  I'm not sure how you created your fill regions to show the different floor finishes.  If these are in the materials, the fills may be drafting patterns, in which case you will have the same patterns available to create the legend.  If they are model patterns you may need to create new drafting patterns to show them.

If you have a different floor type for each floor finish an alternative might be to create a small piece of floor and copy it the required amount of times and apply the different floor finishes to these.  You could use a note block to annotate them.  This could be done in a workset so that it can be hidden in the othere views.
