I am using Revit Arc. 09 and I downloaded a ceiling fan off the site. I inserted it and it keeps going to the slab for some reason. How can I change it to where everytime I insert it, it becomes attached to the ceiling? Thanks in advanced!

We can't tell because we don't know what the family is. Is it floor or ceiling hosted or not hosted at all? Try moving it in elevation. If that doesn't work, tell us which one it is and maybe someone can look at it.

When you search for "ceiling fan with light," it's the first one that comes up. Thanks

The ceiling fan does not host to anything - its not a Revit family. As suggested by WWHub you can move it in elevation, but this will have to be done manually.
