Hi, I taught myself how to use REVIT 4 weeks ago, after using AUTOCAD before that. I was never a big fan of sketchup, however I really enjoy using revit.

I have a really important project due in at the end of the month, I have been looking at the new features of 2010 revit architecture compared with 2009... are most the changes todo with the massing features? I have already designed my building and I am just putting the finishing tocuhes to the details and site.

Are their many new feature which improve presentation on 2010 of construction drawings and detailing?

Should I bother to download the new version now, or wait until I have handed this project in?

Thanks

I would strongly suggest that you finish your current project in 2009, rather than upgrading it 2010.  If you have finished your building, there are no advantages for the presentation that you cannot do in 2009.  I can suggest that you download the new version and have a look in the mean time.  Start your next project in 2010.

yes, ditto.

I practice like this... when a new version comes out i apply the '10 minute new hurdle rule' ... so that i open an existing project in the newversion, and within the first 10 minutes, if i discover that 5 of the 10 minutes i'm having to find my way around, and learn new things, i drop it, and finish the project in the old version.

R2010 does have some minor, but new things which i discovered enoght to make me finish my existing projects in the older version.
