Is it possible to make 3D cross sectional view of the building which has been deisgned and then render these? I am using Revit 2009 version. Thanks

Certainly. Switch on the section box in the view properties. You can then drag this to cut the building how you wish.

You have the Section Box in that view (perspective, plan, section...), use them to cut where you want then render...
