When I change the scale of my drawing to a smaller scale (1:100 to 1:200) my section references disappear. When I enlarge the scale (1:100 to 1:50) the section reference resizes to suit.
I have enlarged the crop region and there is no difference.
If I use the reference option the section markers work properly.
Is this a bug with Revit?

Are you sure you haven't got your sections set in there properties to "hide at scales coarser than...?"

No I have checked this. Also happens with the default section references that come with Revit so you should be able to duplicate the problem and it doesn't matter what scale I start with, when I go to a smaller scale they disappear!!!

By default when sections are created they take on the scale properties of the view they were created in.
So if the view you created them in is 1:100.
They have a setting that says only hide at scales coarser than 1:100 (in this case).
This can be changed to what you want it to be in your view properties of your section.

Right Click on Section> click properties scroll down>Graphics section just under 'Advance Model Graphics' edit the properties of 'Hide at scale coarser than' change it to new plan view scale. The section line and symbol should reappear. repeat the same for all sections
