Hi all.

I am working on a project (Building BIM Architectural Model).

I linked in the revit model that came from the structural engineer (Revit Structure).

In his model, he draw bearing wall with opening (in wich doors will goes).

 Here's my worflow:

When there's a bearing wall in the structural model in wich a door will go, I copy the wall (using the copy/monitor tool) without copying the opening. Then I insert a door into the copied structural wall.

My problem is, when I copy a wall, it doe'snt clean up at joint.

See included image.

Is my worflow correct? How can I solve this Issue?

Thanks

Math

Issues I've had with walls not cleaning up are 1. different wall styles won't clean up with other wall styles. 2. Architectural walls won't clean up with structural. 3. This one is dumb I think, bearing walls won't clean up with non bearing walls. Makes no sense to me. Hope this helps.

Thanks.

What I need to know, is when I insert a structural bim model into my architectural model: there are opening into the bearing wall of the structural model in wich i wish to insert doors. What is the correct workflow?

I used the copy/monitor tool to copy walls in wich i will insert doors (without copying the opening).

The problem is, if I want a clean drawing (with cleaned join) I will have to copy/monitor all the joined walls (see image in first post).

Please help!

Math.
