Revit 2009 Lets say I use composite wall which is made of timber stud, cavity and brick externally (brick veneer). Is it possible to change line thickness of of either stud wall or brick wall only , basically to assign different line thickness to wall components?

You can use the 'Overide graphics in view' function to change the display of individual elements.

What tim123 says will work only for the category cut lines, not the individual wall component lines. To do what you want, use your linework tool.
