does anyone know how to hide an entire level? i'm trying to copy and paste and seperate the different levels to create an axonmetric look. is this is way to do it? i have a final presentation coming up(fri) can anyone suggest any cool view/image extraction revit is capable of doing that can make my project stand out? also what rendering quality is good enough for presenation. right now, i'm rendering at BEST and it's taking way way way too long(10 hours) i don't have that time. will high or even medium do the job? thanks for any help!

With regard to the rendering, the quality would really depend on the size of your presentation images. You may be able to speed up rendering time by creating a custom render quality and reduce the properties found in the render quality settings, such as reflection bounces or refractions. Obviously this depends on the image that you are trying to create. See the link for an example of what I think is a good Revit presentation, by HJacobs. http://www.revitcity.com/gallery.php?action=view&gallery_id=2424

could you expand or show an example of the type of axonmetric look your are trying to create. sounds like section boxes of 3d views cut away placed on a sheet will do the trick. hth

Hey Im looking to do something similar. I know how to shoot the 3d but its a 4 story townhouse and I need 3d floor plans for each level, any way to hide the floors above in each view so I can isolate the 3d view of each floor plan? thanks!

In a 3D view, turn on section box in the VP setings. Now you can adjust the box so that the 3D view is the floor you want. Rename the 3D view to whatevre - then click on the "House" to get a new 3D view and do it again - or copy the first one...

OR just go to "View Cube", right click then "Orient to plan/view" and choose the plan/elevation view you want....
