Hi there

I wented to build  new window family, I start the window from existing one, during the process I notices a strange element within the window, it is element named by Revit: Frame/mullion: Joined Geometry. You can’t edit that element and it appear to be under the real elements that build the window,  if you delete the object it seems that most of the constrain remove as well. What is that object? And what is it good for?

When you use the join geometry tool, revit basically creates a new compiled object that is made up of the various individual pieces (helpful when wanting to hide things or know if joined geometry exists).  You can select it, but you can't really edit it as such.  In order to edit it you need to use your tab key to select the individual extrusions, sweeps, blends etc that make up the joined geometry.
