i have a roof that i want the ceiling to match. im only putting the ceiling in because recessed can lights are need(which are ceiling base). Unfortunately the roof is sloped very awkwardly and ive only gotten two panels of the ceiling in so far slightlly correctly. Is there a way to change the light family so its floor base instead of ceiling based?? Or if someone could help me that would be great. Picture posted for reference. FYI i changed the ceiling panels to green so you could easily tell the difference.

There are a couple things you can try. 1. Create ceilings using masses. 2. Create an unhosted light fixture, then nest that fixture within a face hosted family. Create your voids and change the "Family type and Categories" to lighting fixture. Then you should be able to host the fixture to the underside face of the roof. Good Luck
