I cannot rotate a vertical line of contour labels. The text is currently upside down. Is there any way to select the text orientation?

are you trying to rotate a line or text? if it's text and you want to to be to what ever angle, just click on it go to properties and untick "Keep Readable"

Contour tags cannot be adjusted from my memory. I'm pretty sure the upside down text is the only option as the text automatically aligns itself with the contours. Also pretty sure it was or should be a wishlist item.

Anyone know why this has not yet been resolved in 2010? We pay a ridiculous amount of money for this software are they listening???

I think most of us realize that Revit is not a Civil program and so we don't use it for that.  Contour lines do not obey our normal rules and are hard to control.  We use Revit for the 3D site model but we keep the civil stuff in CAD.

Maybe in a couple of releases....but for now I for one, want them to continue working with building model problems - not site.
