Hi,

I have created some callout views, and these are now linked to the revit views and placed on sheets. I now need to replace the 'Revit' callout views with Drafting views (using imported ACAD details).

Is there a way to have the callouts / sections changed to point to the drafting views instead?

Thanks in advance.

When you create the callout view you have the option at the top to reference another view.  A new drafting view is created.

You will have to make new call-outs to reference your drafting views becuse you can not re-assign a callout.

Thanks for the responses.

I agree, there does not seem to be a way to change them once they are setup.

This would be a nice feature, as I typically setup my callouts / views etc early, so I know the scope of drawings required. At the time I am setting them up, I dont know if the actual drawing will be a real view marked up, or a drafting view.

Looking forward to 2010...

You do know that in a "real view", you can turn off all model elements and just do the view with drafting elements ...

Thanks WWHub, that is how I ended up doing it in the end - I had created so many ref views, the thought of recreating them was too much....

Hey! I just found out that if you erase the reference view from the sheet your can select a new reference view for each callout/detail. I hope this help!
