In an effort to set up an interior partition type sheet bypassing AutoCad I have considered the following. · Create a Legend with the different partition types, in which case I have limited flexibility in terms of how high the partition is. · Create an external Revit file with just the partitions that I link into the file I want to use. This just seems like too much effort. I have found some related posts dated a a couple years back. Has anyone identifed a way to develop an interior partition type sheet?

Your second option would not appear to determine the height of any walls. Note that you can drag the wall types into a legend view from your families in the project browser, and show them in section. I would expect that any particular partition might have different heights in different parts of the building, so I don't see how the heights would be relevant in a legend, although you can amend the heights. If you need to schedule these you can get the average height by dividing the area by the length.

Sorry for the confusion. I am not creating a wall legend, I am creating an interior partition type sheet. I am begining to think that this is a task to be completed in a drafting view.

Are your interior partitions not walls?

Call it a type sheet or whatever .... it can be made by using a legend. The problem is that when using legends for walls, you can not dimension them ... (DUMB)... but you can add line ticks that you can dimension to. The other choice is a drafting view. The problem with that is if you change something in the wall, you will not see it in the drafting view.
