Okay, this request seems far fetched but I'll toss it out to ya'all and see if you have any thoughts. My mechanical engineer would like to be able to calculate the amount of concrete that floor , ceiling, and roof on a room by room basis to calculate the amount of thermal mass per room. I am not sure if Revit allows one to specify how much concrete is present per room. Any thoughts would help.

Thanks

I don't think that you can do this directly.  This would also depend on how the building is constructed and other masonry would add thermal mass, as would steel and other materials Cryingall materials have thermal mass although some have a higher specific heat capacity).  The thermal mass will be shared and really applies to the whole building genearlly taken as that within the insulation layer.  You could try and add a specific heat capacity factor parameter to your materials and find a total for all building components within the insulation and divide it by the area of the room (as a percentage of the total area) to get a thermal mass factor for each room.

This suggestion may not help, yet if it does, great.

I usually create an equation that is similar to an enclosure volume calculator and place it in the room schedule spreadsheet. There, you can have a separate column that lists it by room.
