I am using Revit Structure 09.  On my previous project I had set something to change the display of masonry walls in 3d views.  I want to display the individual block lines on the surface.  How is that done?  I'll write it down this time.

Tough one.  I can't get it to work.  Try messing around with the walls material.  I can get this to work on a small scale- in-place family, but not on a system wall family.  Interesting.

Anyone else?

Bump.

If it is a non-rendered view and if you have a model hatch assigned to your wall finish then the block will show.  Rendered views require the correct render material to be assigned to the wall finish.

Hooray!  I got it.  My masonry wall material does have an associated block surface pattern.  It just wasn't showing up.

1. VG -> Model Categories tab

2.  Select walls (in this case).

3.  In the Projection/Surface -> Patterns, field pick Override button

4.  Check the "Visible" box in the Fill Patterns Graphic Dialog.  (it should be unchecked if there's no coursing showing up on 3D shaded views with lines)

Coursing for masonry now displays in 3D views, shading with edges detail level.

Thank you for input.
