I am attempting to create an as-built drawing of a tunnel.  I have placed markers at coordinate points in a DWG and imported the 2D file to RAC 2009.  From there I need to indicate the correct elevation at each marker (the tunnel slopes over its length) and then create the physically tunnel itself at the correct elevations.  I have played around a little with masses but I can't seem to come up with a good solution.  FYI the slope varies from reference point to reference point and the tunnel is not in a straight line in plan either...I know, could it be any more complex?

You probably need to create this section by section, with it changing in slope and direction.  You could use a sweep for the different sections and use voids to cut out the overlapping geometry - good luck.

I've managed to do something similar using massing techniques.

I created the profiles at each section where the changes occur as individual rft files..

Then i created a mass (roof type) and used the sweep blend technique along a designated path.

I know im about 2 years late but im new to revit lol

The attached is a method of doing street work, you will have to do in sections, as you probably have vertical curves as well. Talk about a difficult task, how do you plan to deal with the dirt over the tunnel?

Again I know this is rediculously late, but:

Place reference planes perpendicular to the tunnel in plan view, then draw section views to be parallel with each of the planes. Go to inplace mass then draw each section of the tunnel indevidually by setting the ref plane as current working plane and then going to the relevant section to view. once all sections have been sketched select them all from a 3D view and click create form - solid form you can then add additional profiles and points for tweaking

hope this helps
