Hello, I'm having a little difficulty figuring out how to hide labels that aren't currently being used when I print. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure wath you meant ... with your tiny-tiny letters.

If you mean hiding view and call-out tags in views that are un-referenced, there is a checkbox in your print setup to turn those off.

Does anyone know if this can be done with filters?

I'm assuming you are speaking of title-block labels?  If so, you will have to set up a visibility parameter for each label you would like to control.  Do you know how to do this?

A visibility parameter sounds right. I have manipulated one before but never created.

OK.  It's simple enough.  There are basically two things you'll need to do.  The first, create a visibility paramater.  The second, apply the paramater to the label.

1.  Open your project and navigate to a sheet view with the titleblock you wish to edit.

2.  Select the titleblock and click 'Edit Family' from the editing bar.  This will open the titleblock family.

3.  Select the label you wish to control the visibility of and go to it's element properties.

4.  There should be a 'Visible' field under 'Graphics'.  Under the right-most column is a small box.  Click on it.  (The column heading is and equal sign.)

5.  This will open up a dialogue box.  Click 'Add paramter...'

6.  This will open up a paramter properties dialogue box.  Name the parameter which will allow you to identify it.  Sheet number would be named 'Sheet Number.'

7.  'Group Under' is not critical for this purpose.  You can use 'Other' but I would use 'Graphics.'

8.  There are two radio buttons; 'Instance' and 'Type.'  Type will make changes to all titleblocks in the project, whereas instance will make changes to one titleblock at a time.

9.  Do this for each label you wish to have visibility control of.

10.  Load into Projects.  This button is on your toolbar (left side of your screen.)

11.  Overide values of existing parameters should be checked?  If you lose your titleblock info just click undo.

12.  You can now control the visibility of the elements throught the element properties dialogue box.

Let me know if that does or doesn't work/make sense.
