HiI can find no explanation of the differences between these (in fact, all) options. One small difference I've noticed is Constraints don't grey out when a formula is added. But Other than that, I'm lost.Is there's a web page that I've missed that gives a description?

Cheers

Dave F.

Can you describe your problem in a  bit more detail - what are you trying to do.  Dimensions can be constrained.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not trying to do anything specific, just trying to learn about when & where I would want to 'Group ParamterUnder' Dimensions, Constraints or Other etc.

I can find specifc example telling me which I should use, but only for that example & they give no reasons why.

I'm trying to find generic explanations of the usage.

Cheers

Dave F.

Dave

If you are creating a family, it determines the location of the parameter in the Element property dialog box.  It does not really affect anything else - if I'm understanding your query correctly.

A constraint can be a dimension if it is locked ... another constrait might be an alignment with a lock.
