I am using revit 2009 and am wondering if there is any way you can reference a vieww/section or callout with just text.It would be basically the same as a callout or section mark but without a Section Head or Tail or Callout bubble. I have looked at trying it a few different ways but nothing seems to work.

I believe some people have expressed interest in this on the wishlist, but as of now there's no way to pull it off.

You can overide the graphics in view and turn the lines white.

I think you might create a new section head (New - family (section head template). Then create it with only labels, no lines. Load into project. Then in Settings - view tag, you can set it as the new callout head.

Never tried yet, but this is th way I would try.

Math.
