Who uses masking regions when creating their families? and why? I'm curious more then anything else. The tool seems kind of redundant when you can accomplish most of the same thing with object styles, without all the extra work.

There are numerous uses for this, such as in a 2d detail family made from lines where the underlying geometry needs to be hidden, such as the floor finish. They are used for detail components in repeating details such as blockwork to hide the geometry behind. Very useful.
