Does anyone know of a tutorial that shows you how to create a light fixture. I am having some issues with a light fixture that I am editing but I need some extra help. thanks,

Hi, see this: http://screencast.com/t/Qu0Hq1MG5 I made this video a few month ago for one guy who create a light fixture in the wrong family but i think you can use it... Tell something if you have any problem...

Did you see the video? I'm in a middle of render in 2009, the family you upload is in 2009, right now i can't see that, i only have 2008 and i can't open that, sorry, ANYBODY CAN HELP????

if light shining thru your fixture is the problem, your best bet is to create a material for the bulb that renders self-illuminating

I have opened your file and loaded into a project - it seems to render OK unless you are expecting the light to shine the other way. See attached image.
