Hi all,

Could any one help me? I need to create the screen family Cryingsee the attachment) this is coming in the exterior side of the walls, i was trying to create using generic family template, i created outer frames.  Then I started creating those sleeves by using solid and voids. is this is a correct way of doing? Because when i copy paste those sleeve panels system become very slow and i got some message saying use nested family! please help methank youpush

Yeah, when you use "Create-in-place" (solids and voids) you increase the size of your file, so the advise is create a "Family", in this particular case i use a "Curtain Wall" family...

hi typhoon,                  I am really sorry; i am not getting what u really saying! Could u please explain me how to use curtain panel for this family creation.

Do u mean to say that the sleeve portion should be a curtain panel(the grids can be mullion and voids can be glass) and i should bring them into this family?

If this is correct how to create the top prtion of this screen using curtain panels? Thank upush

Yeah, the "Curtain Wall" are very "Powerful", you can solve the problem with that, "if this is correct how to create the top prtion of this screen using curtain panels?" remember you can also edit the profile of the curtain walls to make the shape you want...

Create a material with a cutout map of light and dark areas.  You can create your own if suitable ones are not in the library.

I told you to use the "curtain Wall" family...

in this way you can choose to put (or not) the glass in the panels... but in this case you have all done so do like Tim123 said...
