when I make a grid it works fine and I can see it in in all views. my problem is when I stretch a gridline so it works in a drawing i have no problem but if a switch floorplans the grdline is in the original location and I have to move all of them. is there a way that when i adjust a gridline it stays the same? do you have to adjust every floor plans grid?

2nd question

when I move gridlines horizontally (changing span) my dimensions do not change accordingly is there a way to make them do so... like basically locking them to the grid?hank you in advance.

You should be able to select the grid and click "Propagate Extents" button at the top. This will allow you to select specific views to match the extents.

Also if you click on the grid lines they show a 3d or 2d button.  If this is set to 3d it will change in all views.

If you dimension to the actual gridline then the dimension should change when you move it.
