I am working on a rather simplistic floor / basement combination plan. I have incorprated the floor systems in the building and have cut the shaft locations for the mechanical equipment. Is there any way that I can get these shaft openings to display and print on my basement plan?

Select the shaft and go to its element properties. You can set the level for the base and set an offset if you need it to go below this.
