i've been trying to create a curved concrete beam all day but can't seem to get past the fact that i don't know how to create a concrete beam profile (which is not included in revit 2009 imperial library\profiles\structural), which then will i be able to use the profile in an in-place family. most curved beam discussions seem to revolve around w-flanges, not concrete rectangular beams. please help, a step-by-step would be most ideal as i am fairly new to this game.

If you only need one or two it would be easiest to create a component.  Go to Structural, click component, create in place, and choose the structural framing catagory.  Extrude your beam and give it a material type of concrete and under the physical tab assign concrete.  Concrete parameters will be assigned.  If you have loads of these and they need to be parametric then create a family using the structural framing - beam catagory.
