When working on toposurfaces, typical road ways have v shapes to contours, peaks at the centerline of the road and valleys at the curb edge. The contour line will jump across the v's so you get a false contour. If I set the simplicity factor at 1/2" it does not seem to change. Is there a trick to get the contour lines to stop jumping across?

Hi, i think your question a little confusing, are you change the elevation point in your topo surface? Are you creating sub-regions to make the "Road way"? Can you post some screen shots or video to show what are the problem?

What I do in this situation is to insert another point in between that's slightly higher or lower in elevation to FORCE the contour to make the v-shape rather than jumping straight across the roadway.
