Hi all

I started at a new firm the other day which is exciting.  My role is to coordinate Rivet into our Interior Design Practice to help automate curtain tasks.

I have found this site to be a valuable resource, so a big thanks you to every1.  A good community support base is vital.

Can anyone briefly describe the main issues when implementing such software???? (I know this may have been covered several 100 times but if any1 is coming from an interior design firm can shed some light it would be appreciated.

Again, thanks to every1.

Old post, but I thought I would respond anyways.

I suppose I could supply you with some good advice for implementation, although I guess you have probably figured most of it out by now.

I use allplan on a daily basis- it is essentially AutoCAD with claims of BIM.  Well, I think it is more like AutoCAD ADT.  I am using Allplan 2009 by the way.

I am a proficient AutoCAD and Revit user, I have some experience with Sketch-Up, Digital Project, and of course I am learning Rhino.  I have a list of reasons why I don't like Allplan, which probably extend well-beyond my bias for Autodesk products.  I am learning Rhino, and I enjoy it very much.  It is a powerful program, easy to learn, and intuitive.  Well, I cannot say the same for Allplan; the overall experience feels very clunky.  Ill give you my list of reasons if interested.
