This is a fake section marker provided by www.Revitopia.com. As a 2 click operation, it utilizes line based detail component and embedded annotation objects. There are 3 primary parameters; Sheet(where you put the sheet number), Detail(where you put the detail number), and Head angle(to rotate the bubble). This was a solution to the use of AutoCAD Details being on a Revit project and to avoid creating “fake” detail views for placing on sheets.

How do I change the text in the section head?  I need it to read "Section" not "1/A1.00".  Thank you.

Fake Section Head , same look as real one.

Open new template family generic annotation.

Open real family Section head. Copy lines and filled regions only to new fake section head family. Create new labels for section number and sheet number. Create Label, add new parameter, name it, type of parameter - text, group - text, make it Instance.

Save as NewName.rfa and load it in project
