the awning slats are not parametric, so if the depth is changed the awning not correct.

Is there another version of this type of canopy that could be used for a residence? I really liked the look of the original, however the actual structure is not the same as the picture, and it is too large to work with my design.

Make an option that is either cantilevered of has supports running the other direction, add a soffit to the bottom so rain does not go through.
