Sun Shade Louvre Type 2 (With Parametric)

1 bay Sun Shade Louvre with Parametic. Please let me know if the parametic failed. btw, I was just wandering why this rfa file get so big. I think the problem is at the parametic over the opening. in fact, I did try to change that parameter, it took me almost half an hour do get it done. Load into project too take a while. prehap the better is to specify material over the louvre panel (I did try one with metal with mesh!) & get away with the void openings! Haha.. Any Suggestions!

Just would like to take this opportunity to say thank to Mr.Spot as by learn thru his tutorial, I am able to come up with this family. Not exactly nice in design though compare to the first one but acceptable. The problems for this family is the file size coz it's size is pretty big and my question is whether the parametic & formulas make the file so big. But personally, I don't that is the cause and I suspected the array of the louvre openings coz the file size to be so big. You can try to change perimeter for the no. of opening per roll, I try it and it works, problem is it took up to half and hour to regenerated. I think array might not be a good idea here.

I think in this case it might have been better to use hatch patterns and accurender materials to define the structure rather than modelling it. File sizes get large when arraying non-nested components and also become extremely sluggish. I really suggest never arraying an extrusion or any non-nested family element. If you have a look through the library you'll see some louvre windows i've created, if try adjusting them the change is relatively quick and the file size is very reasonable.
