I have tried loading it into my project several times however in plan view it only shows a square...i have tried changing the offset/ cut line from the view range but nothing works. It looks great in 3D ..
Please let me know if there are any other ways for it to work in plan view.

To get it to show up in plan view:
Edit Family > Select everything except the connector element > Visibility Settings (Under Modify|Multi-Select tab) > Make sure "Plan/RCP" and "Coarse" are checked.
