It's adjustable for distance off wall, height, width, extension above top rung, and bracket spacing. If you make it too short, you neeed to make the bracket spacing smaller as well, or it won't work.
I wanted one that would work for both elevator pits and roof access. Could find one, so I made one. My first parametric family.

This family has an instance parameter called "Wall Offset", which allows for adjustments for walls with a thicker base than upper portion. Initial placement is to the exterior face of wall. Revit 2015 - This is a metric line based kitchen cupboard as a generic model. Reason being, you can join the different segments. If it were casework, the segments can't be joined. It is a quick and easy way to draft in a basic kitchen bench system which will look adequate in sections and floor plans. It is flexible, so it should easily be converted to imperial units if needed. Hope this helps expedite your benchtop cupboard creation. Let me know if you can improve or have improvement ideas. |
