If you want to override by element (right click on object) on a per view basis to have it show as a demo pattern you will need a drafting pattern like the attached. This is particularly useful when you have multiple phases and don't want the ceiling to always look dashed. Drawback is that I have yet to find how to align the pattern. Assign the pattern with a scale of .125.

I have since found that aligning the ceiling pattern is important enough that this process isn't the best solution.  It's better to use the model pattern (found as a different download on this site) and just put a fill pattern into the view.

I would delete this posting... if only I knew how.
