This Glass and Steel Awning utilizes 3 components to set the piece up. All are generic wall based components so they will need a wall backing for them to work.
Awning Frames - is actually just the beam that sits against the wall
Awning Beams - is the module used to fill in the awning.
Awning Beams w-Tension Rods - To show the Tension rod structure at the ends and intermediate as you choose
The canopy's are parametric in "beam to beam" width and material properties but not in length or any others. If you want to modify them fix them in families or build your own ; ) |

I have taken a manufacturers family - redrew it - so every curve is tangentle to other planes - hence with lines on - no lines between formed surfaces. This is how drawing should be. When 3D view set at Scale 1:1 - therefore no thick line work. In this instance no linework turned on anyways.
Manufactured items in sheetmetal, plastics, timber etc, it is vare rare to have a sharp corner on it. All planes should have a radiused chamfer - just look around your office - hard to find two surfaces coming together with sharp edge.
Have posted this here solely to assist others on how to draw and also how to display.
To many rubbish families posted here - learn and create each one better than the last one.
Any comments - feel free - |

Parametric String Lights using adaptive components. Adjusting the U_VAL and V_VAL changes the placement of the inner spline point. Additional parameters include: light bulb count, ends offset, and fixture materials.
Placement seems to work best using vertical planes. If the fixture ends up facing the wrong direction - try setting the workplane to a vertical placement plane and rotating.
Note: Original Light Bulb family modified from Ryan Davis's upload. No earlier version available currently, possibly in the future. Sorry! :( |

This family has been revised to fix a bug. It has been changed to a furniture family now, unfortunately I had to update it to Revit 2016 in order to fix it. It should work fine now.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

A parametric base casework cabinet. The family contains a level of detailing when cut in section. The family also comes with a catalog in the form of a .txt file that needs to be in the same directory in order for the catalog to work. The following parametric values are available: Height, Width, Length, Material, Door Styles, Drawer Styles, Hardware Styles, Shelf Style

This family is based off of the Plastico Pyramid Skylights that are for larger opening spans. This is similar to my other family, but this one will only have 4 skylights. It's a modular system with adjustable skylight size with a set minimum 17.25" width and 99" max length for individual units. The mullion, curb depth, curb height, frame height, and pyramid heights are all adjustable. I have created another family for 2x2 units (4 skylights total) that is parametric also. (All parameters now work) |

"Universal" laboratory countertop.
Usual, expected parameters: height; height of splash
Useful parameters: left end and right end "notch". Notch size can be changed numerically and via shape handles (tricky!); splash at either end can be visible of not and wraps around the "notch" (useful when there is a column or another such obstruction at the end of the countertop). "Notch" can be centered or not.
Several starter types are included.
May take some time to get used to how to work with shape handles to get it to function properly. |

This is for anyone looking for a more realistic tiled roof. Array horizontal model lines up the face of your roof at a spacing of 18", select peak_valley, gable, valley_valley, etc depending on what type of face it is, and place the line-based generic model family by line-selection. Height of tile is adjustable (good for fitting in last row). Made for a 5/12 slope, but will probably work with others. Renders beautifully. |

It is a Line based detail component rather than a symbol. I made it this way so the overall length would stay the same if the scale changed. The text will change with the view scale and in the instance properties there is an input for a scale to change the arrow and circle sizes. (I preprogramed the typical scales so you can see how they work) There are 3 types of arrow heads and the text can be controlled separately.
Edit* the scale things does not work atm I will tryand fix it later.
Hope it helps,

Revit 2015 - This is a metric line based kitchen cupboard as a generic model. Reason being, you can join the different segments. If it were casework, the segments can't be joined. It is a quick and easy way to draft in a basic kitchen bench system which will look adequate in sections and floor plans. It is flexible, so it should easily be converted to imperial units if needed. Hope this helps expedite your benchtop cupboard creation. Let me know if you can improve or have improvement ideas. This is the FIXED version of the family which was missing a vital parameter to allow the height to flex. Please ignore prior version. I couldn't see an option to replace the original upload. |

This is light 3D object, meaning thet the geometry is simplified to maximum for better performance, yet with good enough graphical representation in all views. Cabinet under counter can be turned off so you can use one family for both - cabinets and/or countertops. Separate family just for countertop alone is only 36 kB smaller in size, so I thought it is more efficient to use just this one famlily for two cases. Dims are instance parameters which allows size adjustments by easy dragging and then precize it with manual input of values. This way speeds up work when designing spaces with many objets of this kind, like restaurant kitchens, etc.
The only thing is that dragging one of the ends along the long side may generate errors, in this case simply drag the other end. Or if you are able to fix this issue you are welcome to upload a corrected version. |

Here it is folks, a Corinthian Column based on the one available here on RevitCity for so many years. But this one acts just like normal columns, with Base and Top level parameters to define the height, and the column itself scales properly based on that height.

Merry Christmas 2023! In Structural Insultated Panel (SIP) framing, the best header beam solution is typically two(2) wood members adhesively laminated to rigid insulation. This is also the best header for energy efficient wood framing. This file is a parametric 3 section beam where two equal structural members of any width and depth are spaced apart as needed with a centered void left for insulation. It seems to work fine but please judge for yourself and make improvments as needed. And Happy New Year 2024! |

Ianjunker inspired me to recreate his corner cabinet based on one I had in a previous residence which I liked. Essentially it is the same with the main difference being the door is attached to the shelving. By rebuilding it from scratch I learned a lot of the nuances of Revit trying to get all the parameters to work. Enjoy!
Thanks again to Ianjunker for this model: https://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=14822 |

This casework family is a model of American Woodmark's two doors, one drawer, four roll out trays base cabinet. The trays are not supposed to be adjustable, but in this model you can adjust the height of the top two trays. All components operate independently. Materials are pre-defined and assigned via casework subcategories. American Woodmark offers three widths which are included as family types. The URL parameter opens the catalog wherein this cabinet is found. The URL changed slightly, so if it does not work in some of my other models, replace their URL's with this one, which works (at least of today). |
