If you want to be able to control your backsplash independently from your countertop, I found it easier to go ahead and make a family instead of having to create new extrusions in every project. Simple fix, but I use it from time to time.

A simply modeled but very thoroughly parametricized toilet compartment. Through manipulating heights of the structural elements can be made floor or ceiling mounted. Had a little trouble with the door swing (goes all the way around when the door swings inward) so I included a toggle to turn it off - you'll have to add your own 2D line if you need it.
