I was given the task to get the legend components to read text or type mark and have the Legend and the floor plan both reading same tag text!What it does is let me label the window say W1 in the window family for the WINDOW TYPE. Add a window tag it reads W1 in the tag. Finally when I insert that window into the window legend I have a text defaulty in that family to read the type so it says under the window W1 and any time I read number my window tags they all will update in a blink of an eye!Used for any Legend Component like Door, Window, Wall types!I've read in these forums that people are not using the Legend for WALL TYPES or Window Elevations, Door Elevations. I know you still can't Dim. walls in the legend but you can link a text into any item to report that item TYPE in the legend, to schedule, in the plans and change it once!Use Model text in the family to link to a shared parameter, then in the tag's label link that text to the shared parameter and you have yourself a link text and label tag!Copy Paste the Model Text into any window family you might have now by using model text in that window family, use a shared parameter to link that text to and link a window tag family text label to that shared parameter BAM BAM! You got it! |

These Indian style archtop framed windows are created as per actual elements in use.
Banarasi archtop framed Windows
1 Wooden frames are created from wood log section per design of CPWD India. the design prevents plaster damage around door window frames when face flushed with wall face. Insert in frame may be removed by using insert=0. A chanel is made all aroun middle of frame to hold a perforated 6mm dia pipe to inject pest control liquidin it periodically, to protect door frame from termite etc. Arch height is set to vary in a limit & same for window width as well.
2 Multy lite shutter can be utilise for one fully glazed panel to multy lite, simply by adjusting the vertical & horizontal numbers.
3.All shutters are provided with 2D & 3D swing. Window shutters are out swing as used in Indian culture.
4. use families after studdying the parameters. Window width is restricted as per actual use.It is better to handle the family after loading in project.

Revit files are now available for all Livers Bronze railing systems. Simply complete the form and submit your Revit file request. We will then send you an email with a link to download the Revit file. Once the file is downloaded, you can load it into the desired project model by following the provided instructions that are specific to each railing system.
The Livers Bronze Revit family systems contain customizable parameters which allow control of the height, rotation and visibility for all of the handrail’s balusters, glass lines and supports. Once unpinned, balusters, glass lines and support elements slide on the host rail to the desired location. Grips are provided for maximum adjust-ability as well as the visibility option of turning them on or off, or copying if needed. We have also incorporated structural alerts when certain elements have exceeded their design parameters in order to assure proper layout requirements. Once you have one element the way you want it, you also have the option to match properties to quickly repeat the desired look throughout your project.

This file is Revit 2019 - the latest it would let me select is 2018. This is a door family so it can only be placed in a wall. However, the gate is nested inside, and that can be placed wherever if you want to use that instead. Different types represent single vs double gate. Width and height are instance based.
Edit Sept 2021 - The swing angle of the 3D gate is now controlled by an instance parameter. |
