Here is a line based parametric pipe for indicative use in architectural applications eg field drains or main pipe runs
Horizontal runs - draw in plan
Vertical or sloping runs - set the workplane to a vertical plane eg a nearby face.
Symbolic line in plan (using Hiroshi Jacobs tip - using an invisible model line that goes vertically so that the view cuts the object. Cheers)
