Lounge Chair designed by Hendrik Van Keppel and Taylor Green. This model is based on the example in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, manufactured by Van Keppel-Green in 1946. Furniture by Van Keppel-Green has a notable association with the Arts and Architecture Case Study House program, being featured in photographs by Julius Shulman of Pierre Koenig's Case Study House 22, also known as the Stahl House. VKG furniture was also featured in Shulman’s photographs of Richard Neutra’s Kaufmann House. I lifted this family from another model on RevitCity which was inserted into a project file. I changed the material parameters (which were in Italian (i think)). When you change materials you get an error but it still works. I upgraded this to Revit 2013 format. |

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's use of tubular steel was an influence from Marcel Breuer. This was apparent in his design of the MR Chaise Lounge. Inspired by the possibilities of this material, Mies incorporated chrome tubular steel in furniture design, mixing it with traditional fabrics like leather. He often employed cantilevers and delicate structural frames to create a feeling of lightness. During his time, he collaborated with interior designer Lilly Reich, who was also his companion.

For some reason I can't update this file but you will notice the back appears to be missing if you are in course or medium detail level in your project. This is easily corrected in the family element visibility settings or just make sure your project view is set to fine detail level.
And for anyone that doesn't know how to place a face-based family in your project go here...
