In 1929 at the Salon d-Autumne in Paris, Le Corbusier and his team of designers presented a revolutionary collection of furniture that stunned the city. Among the pieces was the ethereal yet bold LC6 Table (1928), a mathematically refined structure of steel and glass that has become one of the most important International Style tables of the 20th-century. Made of aeronautical steel, the base is welded for a seamless finish with sculpted angles and smooth, mitered corners. The table base is height adjustable for a total table height ranging from 27" to 29". The tabletop is a .6" thick rectangle of Italian glass, making the LC6 equally right as a dining table and in the conference room. Together the elements create a sense of line, scale and proportion unsurpassed by other designs. Each piece is signed and numbered and, as a product of Cassina's Masters Collection, is manufactured by Cassina in Italy under exclusive worldwide license from the Le Corbusier Foundation. |

If you want to get away from having Bench Tops/Counter Tops with Parametric holes for Sinks
I have added a piece of Bench Top to my Sinks; it is fixed Parametrically so that for a bigger or smaller sink the bench part adjusts with it.
The Bench part to my Sink has very specific parameters, the Bench Thickness is "Instance", it has a "Yes/No" Type parameter, (always switched off.) plan view is "Unticked", it is attached to the "Top of Counter Top" reference plane as is the Sink, the part is shaped with rounded corners (As the Counter Cut Outs would be)
The sink is added into the Project just as normal, just place it onto your Counter Top in the position you want; At this point your counter Top will pass through you sink!
Now all you have to do is use the REVIT "Cut Geometry" sellect your Counter Top, then the Sink and "WHALLA", you now have your "Counter Top" with a Cut Out, this approach allows you to move the sink and the cut out moves with it, if you delete the sink the Bench is repaired, (No Hole). (If you Hide the Sink Your Bench Top should have a Hole in it)

Here is a parametric nut detail item for you. I couldn't find this in the imperial library, so I made one. You input the Rod Diameter and all the rest of the dimensions update. There is an optional masking region and optional washer (instance parameters).
The dimensions are all based on the proportions of a nut for a 1-inch rod. The height of the nut is equal to the diameter of the rod. The washer is always 1/8" wider than the nut. I know actual nut and washer dimensions don't scale perfectly from that, but this worked for my purposes. If you need precise dimensions, you could just edit the family, take out the equations for the parameters and put in dimensions manually to save your types.
Just beware if you do that, DIM2 and DIM3 need to be correct or the arches will mess up. I'd measure that first (in proportion to Rod Diameter) Before you changed them. |
