This file is Revit 2019 - the latest it would let me select is 2018. This is a door family so it can only be placed in a wall. However, the gate is nested inside, and that can be placed wherever if you want to use that instead. Different types represent single vs double gate. Width and height are instance based.
Edit Sept 2021 - The swing angle of the 3D gate is now controlled by an instance parameter. |

This gate can really be used for anything you would like. Barrs on windows, Railing, fence, ex.... It is not hosted to anything. The vertical bars are spaced equaly at ±4".

This is not a great Family. The model represents the object well. Most of the sizes are present. Data rich. However the sizes are all rounded to the nearest inch.
