McKeon Coiling fire door

McKeon top coiling fire door with egress pocket door.  The egress door is located in a pocket in the wall and when the system activates, it swings into position and the coiling door drops from above.  This family includes all elements as well as a 'closed' and 'open' position.  It is hosted on a face of a wall, more specifically the back of the pocket where the egress door is in.  Ceiling height and width are instance controlled parameters allowing you to set them specifically for each import.  It includes 2d linework details (copies from McKeon) for both side tracks in plan view and then the coiling mechanism above the ceiling in elevation and section views.

2-pick Break Line with scaling jog

2-pick Break Line with scaling jog

This is a 2-pick line-based break line symbol.  After you click once to start the break line, an invisible line arrow will appear to indicate which side of the line the mask will be on.  By default it masks on the same side/direction as the exterior side of walls, i.e. outer side of a clockwise loop.

It also has a view scale parameter, which you can enter before you start drawing the break line.  Simply enter the view scale for each break line you draw, and all your break line jogs in your entire project will match size and shape exactly.

Note: the arrow is only visible while drawing the break line, or when you hover the mouse over it or pick it.

Constellation Hedron Light

Constellation Hedron Light

Large chandellier light family based on the Sonneman brand 'Constellation Hedron' light fixture.

Based on the Sonneman spec, the geodesic dome form measures 45" in diameter with 40 LED bulbs.

Modeled as a Generic Family.  Not face-based or ceiling hosted-- you'll need to set the elevation within your model.

The model DOES include lighting which will illuminate space in rendering programs.  The lighting does not utilize the actual IES files-- and is an estimated look using generic Revit lighting fixtures in the estimated locations of the light fixture lighting.

The handing distance is unfortunately not parametric at this time-- I haven't had time to adjust this value.  Feel free to make your own updates and share.

Fake Section Marker

Fake Section Marker

This updated version includes additional control parameters. Also family can be easily converted into a "Fake elevation marker".

This is a modified fake section marker provided by www.Revitopia.com. As a 2 click operation, it utilizes line based detail component and embedded annotation objects. There are 3 primary parameters; Sheet(where you put the sheet number), Detail(where you put the detail number), and Head angle(to rotate the bubble). This was a solution to the use of AutoCAD Details being on a Revit project and to avoid creating “fake” detail views for placing on sheets.

OCCUPANCY LOAD SCHEDULE, CODE COMPLIANCE PLAN

OCCUPANCY LOAD SCHEDULE, CODE COMPLIANCE PLAN

This is the finished Facility Occupancy Load Schedule and Egress Plan. This is automated to calculate the occupant load based on the type of area then use that to calculate occupant load.

There are 2 tags. 1 for rooms, 1 for egress doors.

There are 4 schedules

1.      DOOR EGRESS SCHEDULE

2.      FACILITY OCCUPANCY SCHEDULE

3.      ROOM OCCUPANCY COMPARE SCHEDULE

4.      SPACE OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION

There is one sample Model.

Steps:

1.      Copy the schedules and tags to your current project.

2.      Open the Room occupancy compare schedule

3.      Select what type of area you see fit.

4.      Type in 0 sf for “NON CALCULATED ROOM AREA” to calculate occupants

5.      Manually type in tag value to match calculation to populate the room tag.

6.      Place the facility schedule on the code plan sheet.

7.      Place the Door egress schedule on the sheet too.

8.      Place all your room tags

9.      Place your egress door tags on 1 exit way door only per egress area

10.   Make a note of how you want to number your egress areas. ( I usually go clockwise from upper left to lower right)

11.   Fill in the Egress area for each room in the properties field. ( You can multiple select rooms at the same time and type in the value for all at once, use your filter)

12.   The Facility Schedule will populate.

13.   Type in the Occupant value to the Door egress schedule. Make sure they match. Hide Door egress schedule.

You’re done. Or pretty close J #JustinDesigns3D JustinDesigns3D@Gmail.com

Stair Arrow

Stair Arrow

It is a Line based detail component rather than a symbol. I made it this way so the overall length would stay the same if the scale changed. The text will change with the view scale and in the instance properties there is an input for a scale to change the arrow and circle sizes. (I preprogramed the typical scales so you can see how they work) There are 3 types of arrow heads and the text can be controlled separately.

Edit* the scale things does not work atm I will tryand fix it later.

Hope it helps,
