These Indian style door windows are created as per actual elements in use.

Banarasi Door & Windows

1 Wooden frames are created from wood log section per design of CPWD India. the design prevents plaster damage around door window frames when face flushed with wall face. Insert in frame may be removed by using insert=0. A chanel is made all aroun middle of frame to hold a perforated 6mm dia pipe to inject pest control liquidin it periodically, to protect door frame from termite etc.

2 Multiple door leaf shutters can be swipe to make a new door. Multy lite shutter can be utilise for one fully glazed panel to multy lite, simply by adjusting the vertical & horizontal numbers.

3 window frames are made from same log sections.

4. window shutters are multy lite shutters & number of lites can be set.

5. windows are marked by hor bay numbers, like 1A,1B, 2A, 3A etc.

6.All shutters are provided with 2D & 3D swing. Door shutters are inswing while window shutters are out swing as used in Indian culture.

7. use families after studdying the parameters. Window width is restricted as per actual use.

Here is a double version of my single door with awning window. The trim is parmetric inside and out, the widnow height is parmetric. I fixed some of the issues that I had with the single door in this Family. However if you can improve on the family feel free to do so.

Downloaded exisiting arched window. it lacked several important things such as glazing and sills on the interior. I added them to suit my needs and changed the brick material to limestone to suit my project. Glazing is double panes with triple layer mullions.

I didn't change the heights, nor make it parametric. So it will still require a 13' ceiling or higher. sill will wrap any depth of wall.

This is a basement egress window well I modeled after failing to find anything suitable online. I modeled it after Rockwell's Elite Series in an 84" depth. It's a half-ellipse extrusion with the stairs modeled as extrusions and then a revolved void to carve away the back of the ellipse. It's nicer looking than the typical corrugated versions with a ladder. No materials have been assigned. It is not parametric.

Fully parametric arched window. Picture show three variations of what the window can look like.

Height = the bottom to the top of the arch.

Edge Height = the vertical part on the sides.

When changing parameters make sure “D” does not equal Zero. The edge height will also need to have a value great enough so there is still a vertical section where the glass meets the frame in the corners.

In the instance parameters, there is a check box (EQ Mullion Spacing) which can be toggled to have the mullions spaced equally (EQ by default). If you wish to change, the side mullions spacing uncheck the box and enter a value for the right and left mullions.
