This family is created from Revit's uniform thickness rectangular spread footing. It has part of footing thickness sloped to reduce amount of concrete. Variable parameters are Length-Width and Thickness of footing, minimum thickness of footing, Length and Width of column above and seat clearance on each side of the column.

SFRM can be placed on any beam, column, or brace.  All parameters are instance, including SFRM thickness.  Fireproofing is placed adaptively.Easiest placement is in 3d view, medium detail, hidden line, place on face.  Adaptive points need to be placed counterclockwise, as shown in the image.  SFRM can be placed from above or below the beam/either face of column or brace.Revit version 2016.

While we are in Quarantine as a result of the Covid-19 paranoiademic, I decided to spend some time pushing my Revit 2021 knowledge.  I modeled the United States Senate Chambers and Upper gallery. These items are part of the families used to create this model.

Sculpture (Bust) – Character 3

This model is FACE-BASED. It is an import from 3DS Max via DWF file import.  It is a data-heavy addition to a Revit model. If you chose to use this item, I would add it last in the workflow.  The height of the column and materials are parametric.  The model was obtained from Turbosquid.com and is a free model.

Rolls Royce Coupe - All materials are listed under RR for easy location and changing of materials and interior exterior colors. 

NOTE: AutoCAD files to large to download

*NOTE*: THIS file was very large so you will have to assign the material to the vehicle yourself. steps listed below for those needing help

1. Under Manage Tab - select "Object Styles"

2. Under Imported Objects Tab - expand "Imports in Families list

3. In the blank panel under "Materials" column select coresponding materail to match that which is listed in the "Category" column

4. Apply and then save

Sorry but for some reason the file become to large if i assign the materials i created myself.

I have had this family in my library for many years now. I created this in Revit 2013 or 2014 originally.

 You can make this a tapered column or straight column frame by adjusting the A1 and B1 parameters.

It has worked very well for me however it could use some further automation in terms of adjustability in the project environment as well as additional flexibility for Column Top adjustment (ie. angle of Slope at top)

The version uploaded works with Revit 2019 and up. I have plans to further develop the family and will upload updated versions as I get them ready.

This is a parametric generic model. Simply go to the elevetion view and place it in the middle of the column. It comes with 4x4, 6x6 variations but you can also customize the Widths (W1, W2), de Depth and the Strap (width).
