While we are in Quarantine as a result of the Covid-19 paranoiademic, I decided to spend some time pushing my Revit 2021 knowledge. I modeled the United States Senate Chambers and Upper gallery. These items are part of the families used to create this model.
Rolltop Desk – Modeled after two as they appear in the U.S. Senate Chambers
This model is FACE-BASED. The Desk has parametric finishes. The rolltop can be open or closed based on a parameter. There are some nested models including notepad, document stacks and books. There are a number of parameters assigned but they have not been tested.

This is a model of a backyard Rangetop. You can change many of the finishes. See my Barbeque model.
The rangetop has a void attached so you can drop it on an existing counter and it will cut out the space around it. Its one of my first attempts at building parametric families. |

This is an arched carport shade I made for a friend by request for his project.
The length of the carport is parametric as are the materials.
I tried to figue out how I could make the tilt angle parametric and the width but it is complicated by the seeming limitations on the sweep curves and how they change as the ange flexes and the back to front length changes. (Suggestions if you have them would be appreciated) |

This is a model of a backyard barbeque, highly parametric, you can open and close the hood, and change many of the finishes. I will also upload the steak model I made to show the grill in action. I will be also loading the rangetop and articulated light for the barbeque as well.
The barbeque has a void attachech so you can drop it on an existing counter and it will cut out the space around it. Its one of my first attempts at building a parametric family. |

Sculpture (Bust) – Character 3
This model is FACE-BASED. It is an import from 3DS Max via DWF file import. It is a data-heavy addition to a Revit model. If you chose to use this item, I would add it last in the workflow. The height of the column and materials are parametric. The model was obtained from Turbosquid.com and is a free model.
