Survey Point NEE 2019 updated

Revit 2019 : Can appear in a Site schedule, Place Family on control point. There are 3 Types of control points to choose from. Monument, Monument Calc’d and Control Point. Each type has its own Gen. Annotation symbol. The first two are square n. The 3rd is a triangle p. There is a 3D raised Triangle on Family. Use the top of the triangle to attach leaders for Spot coordinates and Elevations to create a leader to the top of the 3D Triangle on top. The NEE parameters are instance parameters and will not move the point. Use “Survey Site Tag NEE 2019 updated” To show the NEE on screen. Use Spot coordinates and Elevation tags to move the family to match the instance NEE. Enjoy!

OCCUPANCY LOAD SCHEDULE, CODE COMPLIANCE PLAN

This is the finished Facility Occupancy Load Schedule and Egress Plan. This is automated to calculate the occupant load based on the type of area then use that to calculate occupant load.

There are 2 tags. 1 for rooms, 1 for egress doors.

There are 4 schedules

1.      DOOR EGRESS SCHEDULE

2.      FACILITY OCCUPANCY SCHEDULE

3.      ROOM OCCUPANCY COMPARE SCHEDULE

4.      SPACE OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION

There is one sample Model.

Steps:

1.      Copy the schedules and tags to your current project.

2.      Open the Room occupancy compare schedule

3.      Select what type of area you see fit.

4.      Type in 0 sf for “NON CALCULATED ROOM AREA” to calculate occupants

5.      Manually type in tag value to match calculation to populate the room tag.

6.      Place the facility schedule on the code plan sheet.

7.      Place the Door egress schedule on the sheet too.

8.      Place all your room tags

9.      Place your egress door tags on 1 exit way door only per egress area

10.   Make a note of how you want to number your egress areas. ( I usually go clockwise from upper left to lower right)

11.   Fill in the Egress area for each room in the properties field. ( You can multiple select rooms at the same time and type in the value for all at once, use your filter)

12.   The Facility Schedule will populate.

13.   Type in the Occupant value to the Door egress schedule. Make sure they match. Hide Door egress schedule.

You’re done. Or pretty close J #JustinDesigns3D JustinDesigns3D@Gmail.com

Attic Venting Schedules

Attic Venting Schedules

These Revit Schedules are a room schedule filtered for the room named Attic and a soffit schedule that includes a soffit pretending to be the ridge vent. The soffits model across the whole roof including the eaves to get the required area. The ridge vent is a narrow soffit at the ridge the length of the ridge minus the width of the boundary. I have included the stand alone schedules with no model at www.revitcity.com . The math formulas are in the schedules and can be modified per required code. The formula for the ridge vent is the perimeter of the ridge / 2. The ridge boundary is as narrow as possible so I can get a length value. Conditional values are set to black out the values if the manufacture is not who I need it to be. I think it’s pretty cool. Parametric Arch (or Arc) Profile

This is a Parametric Arch (or Arc) Profile. It will calculate the radius based on the input of the Height and Width. Default Thickness is 1” and can be changed. I will be using this in all my arches for openings, doors, & windows. It also works great for barrel shaped dormers and roofs. It also can be used in horizontal arcs. Enjoy JustinDesigns3D@gmail.com

OK, after 2 days of experimenting I finally got the lookup table parameters to work! The Lookup table can be exported from the table manager in the family to duplicate it and re-import it.

Survey Point NEE, NEE TAG, & SCHEDULE SAMPLE

This is the original Survey model with new tweaks. Can appear in a schedule (attached). First load your “cad_site.dwg” file into Revit. Find the Civil Control Point & it’s NEE. Go to Manage Menu \ coordinates \ specify coordinates at a point & pick that point, enter the NEE. Now place component Survey Point NEE at that point. You will need to manually input NEE to schedule survey point. There is no way to acquire project data directly into the survey point at this time. You can always use the command "Report Shared Coordinates to ID your coordinates at a point in the project or control point and move it accordingly then re-edit the NEE inputs. The Site Tag is included.
