An unnecessarily parametric curtain family. This was more of an exercise as opposed to something practical. 

The curtains can be parametrically opened and closed through a slider in plan view. In order to do this it took calculous, trigonometry, and numerical methods to pull off. It is a little computationally heavy on the model. 

Parameters include:

Materials, Curtain length/width/thickness, rod length/diameter, wall offset, grommet diameter/spacing, left/right/double curtains.

I noticed on the other coils that have been uploaded that their technique wasn’t perfect, and it made a squished wire profile. It isn’t very prominent unless the pitch of the helix is larger than the diameter. In this version I corrected it by modeling the cross-section with ellipses using trigonometry.

Everything is parametric including the diameter of the helix, diameter of the wire, height, number of coils, and material.
