This window is fully parametric, as the title suggests. You can change the window's width, height, material and style. It supports single hung, hanging sliding, and casement styles. It comes with built in trim, shutters(toggleable), and transoms(toggleable); all of which are also parametric for both size and material. Transoms include both square and arched transoms.

Notes:

All materials are set to default grey material by default, with the exception of the glass material.

I havn't figured out how to toggle off openings when toggling off transoms, so put your wall material into the windows type to cover up the opening left behind.

You should be careful when adjusting arched transom sizes. Make sure that the size you are trying to create is even possible.

I didn't include inside trim because it was no use to me, comment if you'd like me to do so.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

If you plan on editing the window to suite your needs better, feel free to do so, but a word of caution; there are a lot of hidden aspects, and even the most subtle of changes can cause constraint errors. You might be better off leaving a suggestion.

I was given the task to get the legend components to read text or type mark and have the Legend and the floor plan both reading same tag text!What it does is let me label the window say W1 in the window family for the WINDOW TYPE. Add a window tag it reads W1 in the tag. Finally when I insert that window into the window legend I have a text defaulty in that family to read the type so it says under the window W1 and any time I read number my window tags they all will update in a blink of an eye!Used for any Legend Component like Door, Window, Wall types!I've read in these forums that people are not using the Legend for WALL TYPES or Window Elevations, Door Elevations. I know you still can't Dim. walls in the legend but you can link a text into any item to report that item TYPE in the legend, to schedule, in the plans and change it once!Use Model text in the family to link to a shared parameter, then in the tag's label link that text to the shared parameter and you have yourself a link text and label tag!Copy Paste the Model Text into any window family you might have now by using model text in that window family, use a shared parameter to link that text to and link a window tag family text label to that shared parameter BAM BAM! You got it!

Hi Ladies and Gents.... its been a while since my last upload, so i thought it was about time i gave you something else to put a smile on your face.

Here is my latest model, a nice Food mixer.

Modelled from the KitchenAid Mixer, dimensions are almost there or there abouts give or take 5mm but perfect for adding to a kitchen.

Fixed in size but all materials are changeable, so you can chage its colours to suit your needs.

Hope you guys like it and it comes in useful.

Face-based family for rock climbing hold.  The family has (5) types of holds built in.  Each type has parameter-based material overrides.  You can place these on a wall (use space to rotate the family while placing) to quickly create the feeling of a climbing wall.

Please note, these shapes are not based on any real climbing hold sizes or forms-- just to get the general idea across quickly in your model if needed.

This is an awesome little family I must say.  I have made a parametric column/girder/concrete base family where the you can control the number of columns and the column spacing.  The girder cut length will follow as you enter the amount of columns you want.  Can you believe I have totally mastered revit but still can't find a job!!!  Please rate and comment.
